Picture taken on the South Perth foreshore.

  • Set in America 1920's  (mainly New York) backdrop and glamour of the jazz era, suffrage movement, prohibition.
  • Paperback, 400 pages
  • audiobook read by Kelly Burke (nice!)
  • a swift read for most
  • various themes of feminism, independence, class and society, romance
  • we enjoyed this book and give it a high rating.

A Big Thank You to Natasha Lester for taking time to come and visit us.  It made the reading of the book even more meaningful and our meeting extra special this month.  Natasha talked to us about her writing process and how she researched for the book.  We asked questions about the characters, the setting, clothing, and events of the era, also the Ziegfeld Follies and why she decided to write the book.

The book is well written and one that most of us could not put down.  It was great to have the opportunity to meet Natasha and talk to her about the book.

We are looking forward to reading more of Natasha Lester's books and wish her the very best for the future.
