We had the opportunity to meet Craig Silvey as he launched his latest book "The Amber Amulet". We have long been fans of Silvey and have followed his career ever since his first book "Rhubarb".
It was a lovely evening filled with fascinating facts. We learned about wonderful amber, ambergris, and how the idea for the book enfolded.
The book is just over 100 pages and is filled with the most colourful illustrations. It has an interesting dust jacket ... made to look really old. You think the stains are real, but no ... it's just designed to look old, right down to the faded $5 pencilled in price on the inside of the book!
