The latest version of this movie has just been released over here and some of us have seen it. It was interesting to see how the book was interpreted this time around and compare it with the original film. Parts of the plot has been changed to allow for the limited time-frame of the movie. It all flowed through rather well but again, it was good to have read the book before viewing the movie.
Could we separate Daniel Craig from his James Bond role and think of him as Mikael Blomkvist? Hmmmmm ..... Well, there were mixed feelings about his role. Some felt he was excellent and well suited to the part while others thought otherwise! His undisguised accent bothered a few of us as we wondered why some of the other actors tried to put on a Swedish accent, while he did not do anything to hide his. This is just a minor comment, though! The movie moved along quickly and ended well. It is amazing how make-up has changed the actress Rooney Mara, (who plays Lisbeth Salander) into a completely different person.
