Wednesday 4th October, 2017 - Lincoln in the Bardo by George Saunders (chosen by Fra)

  • Published February 2017
  • 343 pages
  • audio book - multiple narrators, like watching a play .... just wonderful!
  • this did not appeal to all of us, possibly because we are unfamiliar with the background and history of the US
  • some of us only got into the book after doing some pre-reading and looking at the places mentioned in the book - for us it was an amazing read.
  • some listened to the audio book and also used the actual book as it was easier to follow the characters having the two side by side.
  • this was an unusual read, and those of us that got into the book thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience.
